Wednesday, Decemuer 5. (Before Messrs J. Elmer and j. S. Sprent, J.P's.)

Drunkenness. — One first offender, who pleaded guilty, was fined 10s, with the usual alternative.

Eye-law Case —Sydney Thompson, who was charged with plying for hire with his licensed cab elsewhere thau on his appointed stand, was fined 5s and costs.

Cheating a Disturbance. —Edward M'Blillan and John Cook were charged with creating a breach of the peace at the corner of High and Hattray streets.—Evidence was given that Cook had ;n his possession a whip which M'Millan, recognisiug as belonging to him, attempted to take away, and a scuffla ensued. —M'Millan was fined 10s and Cook 5.5, costs to be equally borne between the offenders.
