DUNEDIN PRESBYTERY.
The Dunedin Presbytery met in the hall of the First Church yesterday, when there were present: Dr Duulop (moderator), Dr. Stuart, Revs. Borrie, Cameron, R. R. M. Sutherland. Gibb, Gibson-Smith, ;Ryley, Campbell, A, Greig, J. Christie, D. Dutton, J. M. Sutherland, R. J. Porter, H. Kelly, and Finlayson (ministers); Messrs John Paterson, Hutton, A, Bett, T. C. De Lacy, D. Hood, C. Moore, W. Reid, Andrew Cameron, and A. Catherwood (elders.) KNOX CHURCH LAY REPRESENTATIVE. The Rev. Mr Cameron was appointed as the lay representative of '.Knox Church in the presbytery, in the place of Mr Dymock. WELCOME TO DR STUART. Tho Rev. Mr Finlayson moved—" That the presbytery cordially welcome Dr Stuart, rejoice at the benefit he has received in his visit to Britain, and the hope that this church*will for many years still enjoy his presence and manifold labour in the Kingdom of Christ." The Rev. Mr Borrie seconded the motion, i which was carried. A SCHOLARSHIP. ' It was resolved, on the motion of the Rev. Mr Cameron—" That the scholarship held by Mr George Miller be continued fur another year, and that ia the event of his keeping terms it be continued for two years."
THE OTAGO CENTRAL SEEVICES. The Key. Mr Boheie, having called attention to tne fact that sufficient funds were not forthcoming for carrying on the services on the Otago Central railway, ib was resolved on bis motion that a special colisctioa be made in aid of such services by all congregations within the bounds. It was decided that the next meeting of presbytery should ba held on the first Weduesdav in February.
