Many thanks for your congratulations. Kindly say to the friendß that I faited to meet Professor Mackinnon during my residence iv Kdinburgh. He left the city, and had not returned when I left in October. The 6taf£ was left with Mr George Young, formerly of this city, and who resides within three minutes' walk of the professor's residence. It will be conveyed to him in due form. I read with regret of the death of our chief, the late Hun.
