The suspension bridge erected over tho Aparima by the county pouuci! about a year ago, and which was a great public con* venience, has beeu swept away altogether with 30ft of embankment. The Nightcaps line, which cost a large sum to repair after the flood two years ago, is again badly damaged. Settlers of many years' residence say the flood in the Aparima is tbe most extensive they have known. At Dipton the township was submerged and gardens destroyed.
