A WORD TO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION.

It is not generally known that Cocpa Essence is more closely allied to milk than any other animal or vegetable substaDce, and as it contaius all the elements indispensable for the growth and development of the body and caiv always be presented in a fluid form, it is, next to. milk, preferable to any other natural substano as an article for infaui aliment. Owing to the great difficulty of obtaining fresh and uncontaminated milk in our large towns, this article should, receive the careful attention of medical men.

Considering also that a great proportion of the mixtures sold as Cocoa are adulterated with starches and other substances that lower their value as food, especially in their nitrogenous elements, it is important that the medical profession should only prescribe those that can be snfely relied on for their purity and careful preparation. The following analyses are taken from the " Food Journal":—

Cadbury's Genuino Milk dried. Oocoa Essence. Onsem ... ... 35 ... ... sif Sugar and starch ... 8r ... ... 33J Theobromlno ... • .„ .„ 3 Ash ... ,„ 4 „, Mt 6

100 100 Ask for Cadbury's Cocoa Esgence, and see that you eet it.
