The revenue collected by the Postal depart* | ment during last quarter was £56,408, of whicii £11,999 came from the General Post Office. The receipts from telegrams were £28,604, and the value of Government messages was £6891." The amount of deposits made in the savings banks for the same quarter was £325,591, and withdrawals £327,565, in both instances a decrease on the accounts for the 1886 quarter.
