Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin (subject to any necesssary alterations), as under :— Tins Day (Tuesday), November l«. For Lyttelton and Christchurch, per s.s. Penguin at 2.20 p.m. Late letters, C.P.0., at 2.30 p.m. Wednesday, November 17. The contract steamer Kaikoura will leave Wellington for Plymouth, via Jtio de Janeiro, on Thursday November 18. Mails close here as under:— , For United Kingdom and foreign countries via the United Kingdom, at 0.45 a.m. on the 17th. ' Hegistered correspondence at 5 p.m. on the 16th. Book packets and newspapers at 9 p.m. on tiie 18th. Money orders at 4 p.m. on the 16th. Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage as a late fee, oan be posted in the mail van attached to the north train leaving Dunedin railway atation at 8.10 a.m. on the 17th. The above mall will close for newspapers nt the branch post office, Albany street, at 9 p.m money orders. at 4 p.m., registered letters lit 5 p.m. on the 16th, and for letters at 5 a.m. on the 17th.
