Tlie Burdekin Gold Mining Company has been registered with a capital of £100,000 for the purpose of purchasing and working the new Franklin mine, Sandhurst. THE JUBILEE EXHIBITION. London, November 13. (Hoceived November 14, at 11 a.m.) The Duke of Cambridge and Earl Granville interviewed Lord liandolph ChnrchiU to-day, asking for a grant of £2300 for a representation at the Jubilee Exhibition. (Keeeived November 13, at 1,30 p.m.) Creep, the jockey who was severely hurt while riding in the steeplechase at Flemington on Saturday last, died yesterday. A CLERICAL DISPUTE. The hearing of the Rev. Mr Dod's appeal against the decision of the Melbourne Presbytery was concluded yesterday, the General Assembly rejecting the appeal. PROTECTIONIST DEMONSTRATION. Sydney, November 14. (lieceived November 15, at 1.30 a.m.) A Protectionist demonstration took place at Sydney yeaterday, several thousand persons joining in the procession. Colonial manufactures were exhibited on an extensive scale and the procession paraded through the principal streets, and at the domain addresses were delivered pointing out the benefits to be derived from Protection.
