THE BURNS STATUE FUND.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —In your issue of Ist June, looking over the list of subscribers to the Burns Statue Fund, I notice "A. Boyd, Ss," which I presume to mean myself—A. Boyne, for several subscribers. As there are no names of those who subscribed through me in the list published, I should like to know what became of a cheque for £(3 2s 6d which I forwarded to the hon. treasurer, R. Stout (now Sir Robert Stout), together with a list of those who had subscribed the amount. As there appears to be some irregularity, an explanation would oblige myself aud other subscribers.—l am, &c,
A. Boyke. P.S—The cheque referred to was sent 21st November, ISB2.—A. B.
Queeustown, June 2.
