THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS.

The cricket match Australia v. Notts commenced at Nottingham to-day in showery weather. The attendance was only moderate. The wicket was very heavy, owing to continued rain during the past few days. The following are the names of the team selected to represent the count}1-: —W. Attewell, W. Barnes, W. Flowers, W. Gunn, W. Scotton, J. Selby, F. Shacklock, A. Shaw, M. Sherwin, A. Shrewsbury, and W. Wright.
The Australians went first to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn had scored 50 for the loss of one wicket—Bonnor being not out, 28; Scott not out, 13.

Owing to the inclemency of the weather
•the cricket match Australians v. Nottingham was stopped to-day, when the score of the visitors had reached 50. The Australian Eleven were entertained at a banquet last night by the Nottingham team.
