MASTER HOLIDAYS.

TO THE EDITOR,

Sin,—l understand that the Railway Department are going to issue return tickets from Dunedin to Oamaru, the fares to be 16s Gd firstclass and lls second-class; but lam afraid the hard times will not allow a great many to go, especially those who are in business places in town, as Monday would be the only day they would have. Therefore I would like to suggest that the Railway Department issue return tickets for that day only, and that the fares ho, say, 10s first-class and 7s 6d second-cluss. That would allow shop assistants to spend a few hours in Oamaru, and I am sure the Railway Department would be amply rewarded by so doing.—l am, &c,
