MAORI HILL BOEOUGH COUNCIL.
i An ordinary meeting of the Maori Hill Borough Council, held last evening, was jilitended by the Mayor (Mr Mitchell), Crs Breni, Lawsou, Long, Deuchrass, Kendall, Booth. Kossbotham, Aaskoy, Hitchcock, Eastwood, anil Smith. COKKESPONDE.VCE. The Secretary of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards wrote asking fur payment of the amounts clue by the borough to the Boards.—lt was agreed to pay the amounts as required. ■ . REPORTS. The Finance Committee recommended that accounts amounting to £126 5s be passed for payment; "that all costs in connection with Robert Anderson's claim be charged against Bast Ward; and that a rate of Is in the pound be levied for the present year. They reporteiil' that the estimated expenditure for the yeai--ISS6-7 wrs £552 2s 10d, and the revenue thj; same amount.—The report was adopted, witlit the exception of the clause referring to the payment of Anderson's claim, consideration of which was allowed to stand over till next meeting. ' ' . •' ■ - - TENDEKS. _ Tenders for the supply of-metal for the Maori Hill road were received, and referred to thft mayor and engineer to accept the most suitablei.
