Reform.—A syphou is being placed in the old Imporial winze for the purpose of conveying the drainage water off into the lower working of the Just-iu-Time. When this work is finished, which will be about Wednesday next, breaking down stone will be commenced.
luglewood Extended.—A distance of 3oft has now been driven along the reef north and ao.uttt. In the south end the reef is 4ft thick, nhd iii the north 3ft. The former shows a tendency to widen out. It is the belief thut therp ore two distinct block of stona forming a spiled ThS directors on Saturday last accepted a tender to drive ftpm 100 ft to 250 ft at 35s per foot. Crushing will not he commenced until the level is driven.
The funeral of Charles Fraser took pliice yesterday. DetJeased leaves mining interest and 'other- estates worth about £10,000.
