Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, (subject to any necessary alterations), as under:— For Northern Ports of New Zealand, overland, daily, at 6.45 a.m. Late letters, mail van, North express train, at 8.10 a.m. This Day (Tuesday), July 14. For Northern ports of New Zealand, New South AVales, and Queensland, per Triumph, at 1.50 p.m. Late letters, guard's van, Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m. AVednesday, July 15. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Manapouri, at 1.50 p.m. Late letters, guard's van, Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m.- . Friday, July 17. For Southland, Australian Colouies, India, China, Japan, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, ko., per AVairarapa, at 1.50 p.m. Money orders (for Australian Colonies ouly), registered letters, and newspapers, at 12.50 p.m. Late letters, guard's van, Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m. Letters for the United Kingdom must be specially addressed, and paid ls per For Akaroa, per AVanakn, at 3.20 p.m. Late letters 3.30 p.m. s ..'•■ SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERA'ICE. Saturday, July 18. For Northern ports of New Zealand, the United Kingdom, via San Francisco,' Continent of Europe, Sandwich Islands, United States of America Canada, &c, at 5 a.m. ■ Registered correspondence at 5 p.m. on Friday, 17th. ■" Book'packets and newspapers at 9 p.m. on Friday, Money orders at 4 p.m. on Friday, 17th. Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage as a late fee, can be posted iv the mail van attached to the North train, leaving Dunedin railway-station at 8.10 a.m. on Saturday, 18th. The above mail will close for newspapers atthe branch post-office, Albany street, at 9 p.m. on Friday, 17th, money orders at 4 p.m., registered letters 5 p.m.; and for letters at 5 a.m. on Saturday, 18th. At the South Dunedin ofiice for newspapers at 8 p.m., for money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on Friday, 17th; and for letters at 5 a.m. on the 18th. At the Port Chalmers office at 8 a.m. on Saturday, ISth; money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on Friday, 17th. The above mail will be due in London on the 28th August. The schooner Omaha will sail'from Lyttelton for Chatham Islands on Saturday, 18th inst.
