Drunkenness.—Por this offence Annie Rae was fined 40s; in default, 14 days' imprisonment.—Three other inebriates were before the Court, two of whom were discharged. Vagrancy.—Annie Rae, who was charged with having insufficient lawful means of support, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment, sentence to he cumulative with that received for drunkenness. Larceny. — Alfred Coleman Beckett was charged with stealing an overcoat oil the 10th inst. of the value of £2 15s, the property of Archibald Campbell. The accused was sentenced to thi'ee months' imprisonment.— Frederick Harris, who was charged with stealing a goose, was remanded until Monday next, as the owner of the goose had not been found. Attempting to Escape from Prison.— James Eastwood, who is undergoing a sentence of four years' imprisonment iv the Dunedin gaol for robbery from the person, was charged with having on the Sth inst. wilfully destroyed a blanket belonging to the prison, and with having attempted to escape therefrom by means of the blanket, which he had made into a rope,—The accused was ordered to be fed on bread and water for 28 days. BnEACH of the Bankruptcy Act.—Stephen Stamp Hutchison, who was chargod with having within four months of his bankruptcy, removed from the Caversham 'Gasworks five sides of purifiers; of the value of £35, was^ committed for trial, ' He was allowed bail in his own recognisance for £350, and two sureties for £175 each.—^ The hearing of the secoud charge against the accused, of having concealed the mouthpiece of a retort and pipes, of the valuo of £75, was adjourned until Tuosday, the 21st mst-,
