Vagrancy.—William Thomas, who was charged with having insufficient lawful means of support, wbb sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
Laboeny. —Mary Jane Daniels was charged with stealing, on tbe 2?od inst., two mats of sugar, of the value of 30s, from the store of William Owen, North-East Valley.—Mr Cook appeared for the accused, who was fined £1; in default Beven days' imprisonment.
A'-BAULT Cases.—Jamesßulman was charged with assaulting Henry Wilson at the Coffee Palace on tha 21st insti—Mr Oatomore appeared for the accused, who brought a crossaction against Wilson for assaulting him.—lt appeared from the evidence that Wilson and Bulman, who were employed at the Coffee Palace, had a quarrel, and came to blows, but their statements were contradictory as to which of the two waa the ag«rre«sWe party,— £h» Benob weordiegiy di«mi«wd both caw,
