SOUTHERN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

(Fun United Pbess Association.) Ohbistohdkoh, February IS. The Presbyterian General Assembly continued its sitting to-day. A deal of formal business was transacted. The following motion waß carried_ unanimously : " That the Assembly recognises and approves of the action of the Committee taken through Dr Inglis in selecting and sending out the Rev. Chas. Murray, and that the Assembly cordially welcome him as a new missionary of the Church." . Overtures from the Presbytery of Auokland and Mr Bell, of Timaru, were referred to p committee, and it was resolved —"That the Assembly appeal to the membership of the Church to adopt the constitutional method_ of making known their grievances to the Session and Presbytery, in order to their being considered and remedied, rather than adopting the unchristian method of withholding contributions and ceasing from attendance upon ordinances." . _ The Eev. Mr Murray was ordained at bt. Paul's Church to-night.
