The money-order business for the December quarter Ehows that 50,484 orders, of the value of £148,547, were issued. The issues at the nrincipal townß wero: Auckland, £28,210; Chriatchurch, £17,991; Dunedin, £21,G44; Invercargill, £9544; Napier, £7421; Nelson, £4247 ; Oamaru, £4034 ; Timaru, £4992 ; Wanganui, £6182 ; Wellington, £19,915. The total for the c quarter of 1883 was 47,890 orders, of the value of £144,952. The orders paid wero 41,892, of the value of £12,918. The payment were: At Auckland, £24,654; Chriatchurch, £14,929 ; Dunedin, £28 778; Invercargill, £5577 ; Napier, £3480; Nelaon, £4490 ; New Plymouth, £2479 ; Oamaru, £2154; Timaru, £2320; Wanganui, £4859; Wellington, £15,959. The figures during the corresponding quarter of 1883 were 39,120 and £114,872 respectively.
