Sir,—Now that all prospect of a united Church ia knocked on tho head through the prevalence of a spirit that need not be more particularly characterised, I consider it is the bouuden duty of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand to establish itself in Ofcago and Southland forthwith! I make no doubt that a conaiderable proportion of the majority in favour of union would mark their sense of tho utter narrowness of the minority by severing their connection with tbe Presbyterian Church of Otago und Southland, as would undoubtedly
