OTAGO AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB SPORTS. TO THE EDITOR.
Sib, —I fully endorse the remarks made by your correspondent "Competitor." It ia a very bard thing for those who cannot compete on both days; and as he says, it ia cortainly time that the clique bo wiped out and a real representative committee be elected. I. might also draw attention to tha first days' sports: There cornea tho Bicycle Maiden Milo ; a few minutes' interval, and then comes the Bicycle Open Mile, and then sis races between that and the Bicycle Five Miles, Surely any committee with any idea of arranging sports would have the cense to divide theße races (probably tho hardest of the day) more equally than they have at present.
Certainly the Club is at present flourishing ; but it won't if its sports programme is carried out in this ridiculous manner.—l am, &c,
Another Competitor,
November C.
