Caiho, October 15, (Received October 17, at 1 6 a.m.) The Egyptian Government has decided to cancel the proclamation by which the suspension of the Caisse de la Dette Publique was announced on September 17, and ordered that the revenues assigned to tha Caisse shall continue to be paid as in the past. The Internal Commission will therefore continue its control, as provided by the law of liquidation. New York, October 15. (Received October IC, at 2.15 p.m.) The Republicans have carried the day in Ohio in the choice of electors for election of President and Vice-president next month. : (Special to Pbebs Association.) London, October 16. (Kecelved October 16, at 11.16 a.m.) The Plymouth Chamber of Commerce intend entertaining Sir Saul Samuel, Sir F. D. Bell, and Sir Arthur Blyth at a banquet on October 31. • (Keceived October 18, at 4.50 p.m.) Considerable surprise has been expressed by financiers in the city at the withdrawal of the Melbourne Gas Company's loan from the market. The loan was being negotiated by the Bank of New South Wales, and it has transpired that the Bank of England has re- j fused to continue to inscribo loans unless they were entrusted with the floating of them. Sir F. D. Bell is urging Lord Derby to panction Sir G. Grey's Pacific Annexation Bill. October 16; (Received Octobor 16, at 9.36 p.m.) ; The Albert medal has been conferred on Dr W. M'Gregor, C.M.G., Receiver-general of Fiji, for the gallantry displayed by him in rescuing coolies from the wreck of the ship Syria, which went ashore on the Kasalai reef on May 11. The New Oriental Bank have made their first call of £2 per share, which is payable on November 15. - The Transvaal Government having withdrawn their protection from the chief Montsion, the English Government have directed Sir Hercules Robinson, Governor at the Cape, to establish British authority over his territory.
