RAILWAY RETURN TICKETS.
' TO THE EDITOR. . '_ Sib,—l wish to draw attention to the great inconvenience to which travellers by railway are subjected—viz., not being able tb get return tickets except on Saturdays. People from the country generally are engaged shopping or doing business till they havo to hurry to catcb the train, and often are too late to get a ticket, in which case they must lose their trains or pay double fare. I have had to pay double fares on three or four occasions, and I know numbers of people who have beon victimised in the same way. Also, I think that the late trains on Wednesdays and Saturdays might be detained a few minutes to allow people time to see the end of the opera. A lady friend df mine who went to the opera last Wednesday, and who hurried straight from the theatre to the station, bad only time to get into the train without getting a ticket, and of course was fined. I cannot see why return tickets cannot be issued every day'to those who require them.-* I am, &c, Traveller September 15..
