OUIRAM.

DOMAIN BOABD.

The Outram Domain Board met on, Saturday. Present — Messrs Snow (chairman), Chisholm, M'Brearty, Tynan, and M'Leod.

Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed.

An account for fencing hill reserve (£34 19s od) was passed for payment. It was agreed that the charges for grazing cattle and horseß be the same as formerly fixed by the Board—viz., Is per head per week for cattle, la 6d per head for horses, 10a per 100 per week for sheep—licenses to be issued by the clerk for not less than three months.

. TOWN'BOARD. The Town Board business was then proceeded with.

A letter was received from Hannah and Sons asking the Board to grant Is 2d per yard for clay in connection with their contract. —The request was granted, Mr Chisholji moved—" That the valuation made by the clerk for Outram town district be adopted by the Board."—Carried.

ROAD BOARD. A.meeting of the Outram Road Roard was held on Saturday. Present—Messrs James Shand (chairman), W. T. Shand, Stevenson, and Grant.

A letter was received from the Clerk of the Henley River Board requesting a grant of the sum of £20 towards protecting the road at Mr Renton's box culvert, and asking that the amount promised towards widening the embankment to form a road down by Bull Creek— viz., £38—should be forwarded. Mr Stevenson moved—"That the Board contribute half the cost (not exceeding £20) for protecting the road at Renton's box culvert, the River Board to undertake the work and pay half the coat."

Seconded by Mr W. T. Shand and carried. Mr Grant moved—"That the clerk write to the Oounty Council re overflow of water on road near West Taieri Church."—Agreed to. Mr Grant moved—"That the clerk write to Mr Findlay, secretary of the Taieri Agricultural Society, for a quantity of Btrychnine for poisoning small birds." Seconded by Mr Stevenson. A statement was read showing that the Henley subdivision would have about £100, if the rates were collected, for expending on their roads. The said amount was allocated for road formation as follows: From Bull Creek to Berwick road, £20; from Berwick road to road B, £15; B road-line, £5; Campbell's roadline, £10; C road-line, £20 ; D road-line, £20 • the division road, £20—being £10 from each subdivision. — The clerk was instructed to point out the roads on the map and the sums to be expended on them to the engineer, and to ask him to wait on Mr W. T. Shand and Mr Stevenson for instructions.

The clerk was instructed to collect the rates during the month of August. Mr Dow' (Newton) and Mr Robertson (Huntly) waited on the Board to ask them to extend the gravel farther on the Granton road.

The Chairman stated that owing to the small rate levied this year, the overdraft at the bank of £115, and other liabilities, there would only be some £70 to expend on the roads" when ">.? ra£es were collected for that subdivision (West Taieri), but they would try to do something to improve the road in question.

BOABD OT CONSERVATORS. The Board of Conservators for the West Taieri River district met on Saturday, when the only business transacted was the pasßing of accounts amounting to £5 6a. The clerk was instructed to obtain payment of the arrears of general rate within 14 days, and to collect the special rate before the end of August.

The clerk was instructed to secure the boat and punt, and employ the necessary assistance in so doing.
