A very good programme, showing tho proficioncy of the pupils in I'Yonoh, Latin, music, history, geography, &c, was arranged, and tha manner in which it was rendered showed tho great care bestowed by the Jesuit Fathers on their pupils. Ono of the most interesting items was a sketch of sacred geography given by Master G. Haydon, and .1 scene from Molibre'a "Fourberios de Seapin" was creditably given in the original. Bishop Moran, in presenting the prizes, congratulated tho boys on the result of their examinations. DOMINICAN CONVENT.

Tho annual distribution of prizes to the pupils attending the Dominican Convent, Dunediu, was mado by his Lordship Bishop Moran. Tho concert usually given was omitted this year, owing to the fact that the young ladies have had a groat deal to do lately in connection with the musical performances given at the Cathedral bazaars. There was, howovor, an interesting exhibition of needlework done entiroly by the pupils, including artistic specimens of lace, crewel, and bead work, tapestry, &c. There were also some beautiful groups of artificial flowers. The specimens of mapping and writing showed great proficiency. There are now a large number of pupils attending the Dunedin Convent, and within the last few years establishments under the charge of the Dominican Sisters have been founded at Invercargill, Oamaru, and Queenstown.
