The gale continued for 48 hours, and she passed the Snarts on the 25th inst.; thence she had westerly wifds along the cost, and arrived off Godley Head, Ljtte ton, on the 28th inst.; received orders to proceed to Otavco ; had S.E wind*, and passed Akaroa at (Tp.m on tho 29th, and thence had strong S.E. winds to arrival oli Otago Heads at 2 p.m. yesterday. The brigantiue Pelican anived at Port Chalmers at 6.30 p.m. yesterday, and anchored in Mansfurd's Bay. She left Kalpara on the ISth inst, with light northerly wind*, and passed Cape Campbell on the 24th; thence Bhe took a strong southerly, and was compelled to run into Port Underwood and anchor for shelter; left again oh the 26th, with light easterly winds, passod Cape Campbell on the name night, had variable winds down the coast, and arrived off Otago Headd yesterday evening. The master reports the brigantino Mary Campbell leaving Kaipara on tho 18th inst. for this port. The s.s. Wanaka arrived at Port Chalmers at 8 p.m. yesterday. She left Nelson at 11 a.m. on the 27th inst., called at Picton, and arrived at Wellington at 3.30 a.m. on the 28th ; left again at 3 p in fame day, and arrived at Lyttelton at 8 15 a.m. on the '.9th; sailed at 8.30 p.m. same day, and came into port as above.
