Wklmxoton, Match 30th. The Agent-general writes that tho ship Rangltikci was despatched on tho 31st January from Plymouth (Or Auckland. She has 99 soul 3, equal to £4J adultsi including 53 single women, for Hawke's Bay; and 194 Bottle, equal to 173 Rdults, including 89 single women, for Auckland. On the 31st January the ship Oxford left Pij-mouth for Wellington with 2S souls, equal to 21 adults, for Nelson ; 11) souls, equal to 14 adiUts, for Marlborough ; H souls, equal to 7J adults, for Tararmki; 12 souls, equal to 12 adults, for Westland; and 238 souls, equal to 115} adults, for Wellington;—toial being 302 souls, equal to 173 adults, including Hi >i g!e wom'on. lie states that 230 emigrants are now. at Plymouth ready to embark toy the Waipa for Canterniry, but the vessel was delayed on her trip down the channel by adverse weather. The Oxford and Kangitikci were, after embarking eruijjrauts, also delayed by str. S3 ct weither. He mentions that the ship Wild Deer has entirely broken up. A large quantity of lugga^'o which was on boar.l was unfortunately lost. A number of nominated emigrants are waiting for passage tova-ious parts of the' Colony, and he states that ho will despatch these in March, but 'r.fcer that date he will discontinue sending emigrants till Juno. A further dispatch fays Mr T. G. Tucker, professor of classics and English for Aucklan.l University, left for Naples on 16th January, on his way to join the Orient steamer Iberia. Mr Harkiss, head master of the Waiiaki High School, was to embark for Otago in the urieut steamer Garonne on BMi Fobruavy. Mr Wnlkir, professor of mathematics for Auckland University, proceeded on 15th February by the f. and O. steamer S mnnon. Profcssw Brown aud Thourw took passages by the ©rieut, sailing on Bth March.
