The report concluded as follows :—

Tho Committee regret that they have not succeeded in obtaining from the Education Board what thny consider the district is entitled to— vie, sufficient accommodation for the children in aitcndirC'i an this school. The Committee conbider the in-mfflctent school accommodation unfair to tho children, and to the teachers of the children, as interfering wlih their progress, and to the teachers in produoicg resulrs as airainsc others who have suftioie ie accommodation ; aud to this disadvantage the school has heen subjected for the la't three" years. The report was unanimously adopted, on the motion of Mr Conn, seeouded by Mr Bhady. The Chairman then stated that nominations for the Committee for th 6 incoming year would bo received, and 14 names were proposed. A poll having been taken, the result was declared as follows: —Wardrop, 99; Vickery,'69; Mitchell, 58; M'Bride, 4G; Worthington, 40; Stenhouse, 39; Gore, 37. There was a tie for the seventh place, and the Chairman gave his casting vote for Mr Gore. A vote of thanks having been proposed to the outgoing Committee, a Mr Wilson moved; as an amendment, that the name of the Chairman (Mr Osmond) be omitted, on the ground that he had not onlyiguored the interests of the district, but had done his best to injure them. In his address the other night!,Mr Osmond had stated that he was aware privately of the intention of the Board to erect a school, but never intimated this to the Committee. He thought the meeting should pass a vote of censure on Mr Osmond..-*-: (Cries of "N0.," hisses, &c.) One Committeeman said .he thought Mr Wilson, as he had been appointed to a position under the Committee through,,Mr Osmond, by which he received a salary, should not speak in that manner. Mr Wilson replied that it was his wife who washed the school out and not himself, and he had no salary at al. After a few bantering remarks, "the amendment was put and lost, and the motion carried almost unanimously.

The proceedings closed with a vote of thanks to the Chairman. . ■
