TAIERI ROAD BOARD.

The Taieri Road Board held its monthly meeting at Mosgiel on the 2nd inst. Present: Messrs J. Cullen (chairman), W. Kirkland, R. Todd, W. Thompson, S. Turnbull, J. Anderson, and J. Sutherland.

The Committee appointed to see to culverl and ditah required at Gladefield crossing reported that they had given instructions to get the work done.

Resolutions were passed as follow : —" That W. Thompson have power to lift and relay culvert across the road opposite farmer Hodge's; that Mr Adam Hamilton be ratecollector ; that the clerk write to Quarry Company at Logan's Point about metal; that J. Anderson be empowered to get holes filled in on road in Breadalbane; that Mr A. Lees be valuer on the usual terms; that the clerk call for tenders for the supply of 200 yards metal."

Accounts were passed for payment amounting to £64.
