on goods entered for consumption was £1853 63 Id.

Messrs Donald Reid and Co. offered at auction, yesterday, two freehold farmß in tho Kuri Bush district. The Orat property, known as the Kuri Bush Fatm, comprised 372 acres odd. It was Btarted at £S Ser acre, and rapidly advanced to £7 15s per acre, o further bids being forthcoming, the auctioneer named £8 10s per acre on behalf of tho vendor, and the property was paused in. Tho second lot offered was the proporty known as .Tcnkins' Farm, Bituated near the Otakia railway-station. This was also passed in, no offers being made.
