IMMIGRATION RETURNS.

We are indebted to the courtesy of Mr R T. Macdonnell, emigration officer at Pprt Chalmers, for the returns of immigration and emigration for the month ending September 30th; from which it appears that 56 persons arrived at, and seven persons sailed from, the port of Dunedin during that period, leaving a balance in favour of the district of Otago of 49 persons.
