THE WEBB BENEFIT AT PRINCESS THEATRE. TO THE EDtTOK. Sin,—The great and pleasant feeling generally existing amongst our crowd in raising a substantial proof of the feelings of all, has, I consider, been well patronised, but I certainly consider that the extreme scarcity of the attendance at the Princess Theatre on the evening of Thursday, when many could have availed themselves of contributing their mite, was a poor proof of the feelings of those who cannot afford half-sovs. and five shillings. Let the performance be what it may, the object was laudable, and accordingly ought to h.i i e met with a much more philanthropic feeling.—l am, &c, Charity. September 22nd. [The above letter is very oddly expressed indeed, but it is printed as received.-—EI), 0. I). T.j
