TOKOMAIRIRO DOMAIN BOARD.

A meeting of the Tokomairiro Domain Board was held in the County Chambers, Milton, yesterday.

H. Clark was voted to the chair, and explained that the meeting had been convened to consider what steps should be taken towards procuring a recreation-ground for the public of Milton. About two years ago the Board met and appointed a committee of management to get the section converted into a recreationground. This committee had virtually done nothing since then, and they were now met together for the purpose of coming to something definite in the matter. At' present the section was locked up, and the public were denied access to it.

After some further discussion it was decided to appoint a committee to consider the necessary steps to be taken,. consisting of throe members of the County Council and a like number from the Borough Council. The committee selected was as follows .-—Messrs Clark Calder, Murray, Stewart, Bastings, and Gordon.
