OUR VOLUNTEERS.
The first match for a cup presented to the B Battery by ex-members was held on Saturday afternoon at Pelichet Bay range. The conditions attached to the cup are that it shall be fired for monthly, and that all competitors shall be handicapped; and that the highest scorer in each match.shall count five points second highest four points, and so on to the fifth, who counts one point. The number of points required to win the cup is 25, so that the matches will probably extend over a whole season. In this match Captain Lambert tons the list with the capital score of 61 (on the target) out of 75. The following are the five highest scorers:—
