They may be relied on, however, as approximating to the current odds:—Salvage was made a strong favovirite, and the best offer against him was 100 to 50; Lady Emma was next in favour at 100 to 25, Fleur-de-Lys finding support at 100 to 20; King Quail and Poet's prices are about the same; and against Sir George and Hilda 100 to 15 was obtainable. Walters' pair were not fancied, and 100 to 10 against either found no response. Louis dOr may be nominally quoted at 100 to 6, with no backers, as his starting is doubtful. . ■ , .
