Breach of the Peach —Mlartin Burko, f,,i whom Mr Solomon appeared, was charged witb behaving in an offensive manner to peixutiß travelling in a railway carriage between Waik'.uaiLi and Waitati, on the 13th itiat.—E.lmmid Gibson, and Jamea Willison (railway guard), gave evidence to the effect tbal; the accused was intoxicated, but his behaviour was not objectionable.—The case was dismissed.—For being drunk in the. railway earring?, the accused wan fined 20s, or iv default; H.rte days' ira priflonment.

Vaobancy.—Racbael 11-.ynra was charged with being a pro3tUuto, au i importuning persona passing in Clarke utreefc, Dunedin, on tije 14th Auguat. —Inspector Weldon said that tht police did not wish to preoa the charge, as there waß some probability of the accused ra forming. They only wauled to rave ht-r frcir. destruction.—The Bench decided to give ho another chance, and she was accordingly dis charged.

Larceny. — George Wilson, alias Henry Grimbla, and Latry Myers were charged with stealing frciu the brig Star of the Mersey, at Dunedin, on or about the 13ib inst., one overcoat, value VS 10s, the pro perty of James Winter, aud ono paget coat, handkerchief, and pockot-book, value LI 10s, the property of John Mason-—John Mnscn and Jamed Winter identified tho articlea produced in Court as their property.l— Hector Mockford said the prisoners came to him and offered to Bell him tho overcoat. Subsequently they brought the other cuat, for which he g&v, them eight shilling?.—Arthur M'Ardeu, propriator of the London Hotel, uaid the accused came into his h :.use oq Thur. dsy laßt. They remained for uoma time, aud seemed to be on intimnte terms with eachothcr. Hosawthe overcoat produced in their possession.—The accused Wilson, Boid that be tried to sell the clothes along with Myers, but he did|not know that they were stolen, und had nothing to do with the stealing of thorn.—The Bench considered the charge fully proved, and sentenced both tho accussd to thrco monthb' imprisonment with hard labour.

Several bye-law offenders were also dealt with.
