Rifle Camp, March 4fch. This may be regarded as an off day. In the early morning the eighth match, commenced yeßterday, was continued and completed afterwards. An extra match, designated the Nelson Citizens and Brewers' match, was' taken. For it the most valuable priz s of the. meeting, are offered, the first being a handsome cup and L2O. The match, which is open to all-corners, has induced 138 entries. :

The ptize-winners are:— Xionni Match.—Any member.. 300, 400, and 500 "yards; seven shots at each distance. First prize £9 ; second, £8; third, £6 ; fourth, £5; fifth, £3Bbrth to thirteenth, £2 each; fourteenth to twentv--B'urth, £1 each. £60.

■■•*--- The Nelson Citizens and Brewers' Cup competition occupied tbe greater part of the day. The firing occasioned nearly as much interest as the final stages for the championships generally do, conseqaent on the value of the prizes offered. The cup for the highest total was won by Volunteer A. Ballinger with ' a fine score of 77 points, which is Bent below in; -detail.- Shaw made 55 out of a possible 56 at■ .thfrfirtttwo ranges, but showed a deplorable •idling off at 500 yards. The Thames men all occupy prominent positions, but Otago only secured one prize. Snbjoined are the scores of the pnz3-winners:—
