The Central Committee acknowledge the receipt of the following subscriptions :—Bateman and Stait, L 2 2s ; do's employes, L 5.

Mill, the treasurer to the Port Chalmers Sub-committee of the Kaitangata Relief Fuud, forwarded a cheque to the Central Committed yesterday for Ll5O 4s Cd, made up as follows: — From the shipping, collected by Captains Logan and Whitson and Mr John Mill, L 66 3s; Middle Ward, collected by Messrs M'Kinlay, Walker, and A. Thomson, LIG 12a; High Ward, collected by Messrs Mackley, Law, EUer, and Asher, Ll6 Is; East Ward, collected by Meßsis Foisyth, Grinley, aDd Kettle, Ll2 Is; Lower Harbour, collected by Mr Bowling, L 9 16s 6d; Sawyers' Bay, collected by Captain Thomson and Mr Cameron, L 8 6s 6d; proceeds of reading at Forerteis' Hal), L 7 15.1 ; Carey and Mansford Bays, collected by Messrs GoLiie ai>d Sutherland, L 6 15*; South Ward and Fend-a, L 6 14i Cd.

Tne dstaili of cash takeu at the gafe3 on Monday at the Kaitangata Carnival, Christchurch, are as follow: —Notes, L 125 ; gold, L 59; silver, L4OO 9* Cd; copper, L 2 7s; chequts, L 23 ;—total, L 609 16s 6d. There are yet to be added returns from the theatre, and ticke's sold fir concert previous to the fete. L2OO has been sent South from the Mayor's private 1 st, and Messrs Bird and Paull'u list now amounts to nearly L4OO. The Mayor is daily receiving small subscriptions from the country, and it is believed that before all the lists are closed LI4OO will have been collected in Canterbury.
