Fresh proposals for a settlement of the Chinese dispute are under discussion. Sydney, December 15th. Tbe addition to the New Caledonia troops have started, and are gaining ground in all directions. The revolts will soon he crushed.

The Directors of the A.S.N. Company 'declined the latest proposal submitted re the steamer's strike. i
