U. al meeting of the University Cricket- Club was held in the HaU of the University .on the 6th inst., the Captain, Mr Saul Solomon in the chair. There was a large attendance of students. The Committee's report- of the past season showed that the affairs of the^Club were in a very satisfactory condition .The gross receipts, for. the year am"""feed t0.L53 19s, and the gross expenditure to Ld9 Ss leaving a credit balance or, Ll7 lOs to start the season with. ; The repoi't of the matches played during last soason showed that the University played eight matches during the season—five of which were won, and three lost. The Committee are endeavouring to arrange au annual match w>th the^ students ;of Canterbury College. S.: Sale was re-elected Captain ot the Club. for. the ensuing year, Mr Saul Solomon was elected VicerPresident, and Mr 1.. O. Farnie re-elected Secretary, and Tre.asurer-, .The following members of committee were elected:-Messrs T. Barr, W. Hisiop, H M'Neil, J.Klacpherson, and D. M. Stuarfc. A vote of thanks to the retiring committee closed the business. The meeting'was enthusiastic throughout. • .
