ASSESSMENT COURTS.
Wednesday, 21st February. (Before I. N. Watt, Esq., R,M., Judge.) MAORI HILL. There being no objections in this district, Mr Watt initialed the alterations made by the Road Board, and signed the roll. HALF WAY BUSH. At the Half-way Bush there were about a dozen objections, some of which were disallowed. The only important case was that in which a party objected to the assessment of Mr Bunting's property as not being sufficiently high. The objector failing to sustain his objection, the Judge ordered him to pay 20s and costs. OTHER DISTRICTS. A sitting of the Assessment Court will be held at the North-east Valley thi? (Thursday) morning at 11 o'clock, and on Monday next at Roslyn. In the Taieri district there are 31 objections ; North Taieri, 20 ; Outram, 9 ; Kuri Busb, 4 ; Waipori, 1: and Kaikorai. 1. Strange to relate, in the two former cases the local Road Board objects to the, whole rate. Seaside, Grey, and Suburban send no objections.
