Heavy rain set in this morning, and the shooting has all been stopped. Every prepara. tion had been made in camp for wet weather. If it is fine to-morrow, his Excellency the Governor will visit the range, when the fifth rifle match and the carbine moving target match will be taken.
5 p.m. Fourth .Rifle Match.-^-Ranges, 200, 500, and 600 yards; seven shots at each range. Range prizes, £! each. Match prizes: Ist, £9 ; 2nd, £7 ; 3rd, £6; 4th, £5 ; sth, £4; 6th, £3; 7th, £2 ; Bih, £1.
The 200 yards range of this match was fired this afternoon. The range prize for that dis tance was won by Boss, of Wanganui, with a splendid score of 27 out of a possible 28, at the eight inch bull's eye. Fourth Carbine Match.- -Ranges, 300. 400, and 500 yards, seven shots at each rm.>.e. Range prizes, £1 each. Match prizes: Ist, £6; 2nd, £5 : 3rd, £4; 4th, £2. Bell, Auckland ... .. ;. .. .. 67
