Co.'a VVaituki left for Oamaru on arrival of tho 7.10 train yesterday morning, with a large number of p.issoiigerd, including the Baker and Farro'i Company. Having had liur windlass repaired, the North German barque Mario was towed to so..\ early yesterday morning by the s.s>. Jane. She is bound to Wellington, with nart oriyiful c;arg> from New Yoilc. The ketch Huon Bell eamo down f/om Dunedin yesterday, and passed right out, bound to Catlin's River. The Union Co.'i Beautiful Star sailed yesterday afternoon on a voyage round the Middle Inland, makin? Bluff Harbour her first port of rail. She took away l(i passengers, and 85 tons of cargo. The ketch Fanny came down from Dunedin yesterday, and went alongside the Clan M'Leod to load transhipments for the Coast. The ketch Good Templar sailed down from Duiedin yesterday, and ancho ed off Mansford Bay. The new dredge Vulcan is to bo towed down by the steamora Iron Age ami Peninsula, either to-day ot tomorrow, and in accordance with the promise made by the Harbour Hoard, wilt bo engaged in deepening the approaches to the piera and dock. Tho s.s. Tainroa cam& down from Dunedin yes'erday morning, loaded transhipments from tho Cauterbu\y, and sailed in the evening for Timaru. The schooner Ephcmy sailed for Oamaru yesterday, there to fl.l up with cargo for Auckland. The schooner Mary ISilen sailed for Invercargill yesterday. The topsail schooner Jane Anderson beat up the harbour yesterday, and went on to Dunedin. She is timber-laden, and sailed from tho Bluff on Saturday last. Captain Samuler; reports having had light N.E. wind, with very thick weather. Tho ketch Kestrel enme in yesterday from Invercargill, and wont on to town, t-he also left on Saturday, and had very think N.B. weather. The schooner June Scollay beat up yesterday against a S.W. breeze, and went on to the Upper Harbour. She left Riverton on Friday, anj experienced very ft'Kfc'y weather. Two Catlin's River traiers came in yesterday—tho ketch Prince Rupert and tho ketch Alpha. They both left Catkins on Monday morning, tho wind being light N E., against which thoy beat until they were overtaken by the S.W. breeze about 10 miles from the Heads. Captain Clark, of the Alpha, reports passing the whaler Splendid, becalmed off tho Nuggets, on Monday. Tho Isabella and Jane Hannah arrived at Catlins just before he left; while the ketches Catlins, Huon Belle, Lloyd's Herald, and schooner Mary Ellen, on encountering the y. W. breeze, up helm, and ran back to the Heads and anchored. The p.s. Iron Age, having been laid up for her usual over.iaul and cleaning, is again ready for work. The birquentino Argosy would have been sufficiently lightened yesterday to have gone up to town, had ligliteis eonia to hand. She will probably be towed up on Thursday. The s.s. Ringarooma sails for Melbourne, via the Bluff, this afternoon, passengers joining her by tiie 2.30 p.m. train which leaves Uur.edin. The s.s.
