SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. LTirELTON, December 15th. Arrived: Easby, at 7.30 a.m., from Port Chalmers; Arawata, at 8.40 a.m., from Port Chalmers; Hawea, at 12.15 p.m., from Port Chalmers. Sailed: Arawata, at 445 p m., for Wellington. Oamaru, December 15th. Arrived: Waitaki, at 12.50 p.m., from Duneain. Blupf, December 15th. • Arrived: Comarang, at 2 p.m., from Dunodin. Messrs H. Houghton and Co.'s steamer Express returned from tho JJlull yesterday forenoon with timber and other carso. She had fine easterly weather during the down passage, and met the Comarang Bteering south, off the Nugguts, at 2 a.m. yesterday. She waited at tha Port for tide, and then went on to Dunedin, and is to leave again for Bluff Harbour this evening. The Onion Company's steamer Samson came in from Oamaru early yesterday morning, with 95 bales of wool for the Elizabeth Grahame, and 85 for the Mataura. She transhipped to both vessels, coaled, and went to Dunedin, and is to leave again for Oamaru this evening. Captain Jones reports strong S.W. breeze and thick weather from Oamaru. The schooner Cora was released from her position on tho lower bank on Friday, but not before ilic wool she brought for the ship Invercargill,Sl bales, had been transhipped to a lighter. It was put on board the Invercargill yesterday morning, and the schooner ■worked up harbour later in the day. She is from Timaru, and has some produce to deliver at Dunedin. The schooner Martin Reid sailed for Catlin's River yesterday morning-, but the wind being deid against her, she anchored off the Heads. The steamer Waitaki left for Oamatu yesterday morning at usual time Preparations for sea are in a forward state on board the ship Invercargill. All her wool is either on board or to hand for shipping, and it is highly probable she will block oil tho hatcliway to-night. Bending sails wa3 cotnnionced on Saturday, and was proceeded with throughout yesterday. She will sail positively on Wednesday next. Claims against the stciiner Otago must be rendered to the agents, Messrs Dalgety, Nichols, and Co., not later than to-day. The Irigantine Matchless sailed for ~nd yeeterday afternoon. The cutter Jane came iv from Catlin's Rirer some time during Thursday night, and passed on for Dunedin. The cutter Jane came down from Dunedin yesterday, and anchored In Mausford Bay. fche is bound to Catlin's River. The steamer Taiaroa having been detained at Timuru by the heavy sen interfering with boating operations, tho steamer Beautiful St^r was laid on to run a trip iv her placa, and left f. r Timaru last evening. The schooner Biehard aad Maiy sailed for Nelson yesterday afternoon. Tne ketch Prince Rupert, bound to Ciitlin's River, passed down the harbour yesterday afternoon, and anchored at tho Head?.
