MEETING AT OUTRAM.

Our Outram correspondent writes to us last eveningas follows:— A meeting of ratepayers took place at Outram on Wednesday last. It transpired that no voters' list had been made out prior tc the 31st or March last, and it was pointed out,, on reading the various Acts, that consequently no person can vote inthe riding; a'so, Mr Fulton held that in Road Board districts the electoral roll to vote for members of the House of Representatives is suspended, and uot applicable for the election of County Councillor. No miners risrhts have been i-sued within tho district, and the Act was also interpreted thus: That if, say, three partners holding an estate assessed on a legal rate roll at 10s a year, they hare 15 votes at the forthcominiTelection. These appear to be puzzling facts, but then Mr Donald Keid might take occasion to-night to enlighten tlie ratepayers and returning officers.
