Isaacs and Marks v. H. Stamper.—Claim of L 52 3s 4d, amount of dishonoured bill. Judgment by default for plaintiffs in the amount claimed, together with costs. ™ • « John Davidson v. Phillip Parker.- Claim of L 2 10s, for paper-hangings supplied. Judgment by default for plaintiff in the amount claimed, together with costs. A Watson v. John Turubull.— Claim ot UA 3s, for damages done by defendant's horse while in plaintiff's stable. Mr Joyce for plaintiff ;Mr Bathgate for defendant. It was contended that the horse was under plaintiff s charge, and that plaintiff should make good the damage. His Worship stated that the case involved an important point as to responsibility, and reserved judgmeut. Aitcheson v. O'Kane.—Claim of £o for alleged \vroii"ful seizing and impounding ot cattle atbtakia, and 14s pound fees. There was also ! a claim by O'Kane against Aitcheson of UO, for trespass done by Aitcheson s cattle.—Mr Howorth for O'Kane, Mr Mouat for Aitcheson. —The plaintiff's case in Aitcheson v. 0 Kane had been hoard on a former day, and the case for the defence was now heard, and also the whole of the evidence in the trespass action.— In the impounding case His Worship awarded Aitcheson L 2 10s damages ; and in the trespass action O'Kane was given 40s damages.
