VITAL STATISTICS.

Tho Registrar-General's roporfc on the vital statistics of the boroughs of Auckland, Thames, Wellington, Nelson,, Ohristchurch, I)unedin, and Hnkitika during the month of November, 1874, contains the following table, showing the number of births, the actual mortality of males and females, and the proportion of deaths to population, in the several boroughs : —

The following Table shows the Causes of the Deaths of Persons of both Sexes under 5 year 3of age and 5 years and upwards, and tbe proportions per oent. of Deaths from each cause in the Boroughs named, and that were registered, during the month of November, 1874:—
