She is bound to New River, and' will sail first slant. \ The brigs Wild Wave and Brenda, both bound to; Newcastle, were together towed to sea yesterday by the; steamer Gcelong. ', The old galliot lighter was hauled alongside the; George street wharf yesterday morning for the pur-: pose of being fitted up as a temporary abode for the; young men emigrants per ship Scimitar, who are to be quarantined in her at Goat Island. She will be: moored off the island in juxtaposition to the other: lighter which is doing similar duty for the single men emigrants oi the Carnatic. : The emigrants by the Wild Deer, together with their: personal effects, were disembarked yesterday forenoon j by the steamer Peninsula, and landed at the Railway: Pier. They were disembarked in two detachments, and as they left the ship the harbour and town rung with; their hearty farewell cheers for the gallant vessel which • had so faithfully served them.
