THE SUEZ MAIL. TO THE EDITOR.

Sin—l have also to contribute myjshare of grievance re delay of periodical and magazine parcels till the boat following; the mail steamer for New Zealand, instead of being imniediately transhipped on board with the English mails after arrival in Hobson's Bay. This negligence repeatedl/ occurs, and by the mail justarrived, one of my largest parcels has been left in Melbourne. Great inconvenience and loss of business are the result. I have complained to the agents here, also to Melbourne and London, all of whom have promised to remedy the evil: but still it continues. The expenses in bringing out these parcels are nearly 50 per cent. ; this heavy item should surely ensure the quickest possible delivery. Subscribers will, therefore, perceive ■where the fault lies.—lam, &c, JOSBIH BBAITHWAITB.
