On the 19th October last he left his house to sell tea about town, and on his return he found that the goods and the money had been removed. After-witnesses had been examined His Worship said that there was not sufficient evidence of felonious intent to justify him committing the accused for trial, and that, taking all the circumstances into consideration, the case was one that ought never to have been brought before the Court. A charge of using threatening language had been preferred by Ockenden against Quin Ling, but it was afterwaMs withdrawn, the defendant stating that he would not molest the complainant.
