CHRISTCHURCH, September 6th.
The Supreme Court was, occupied the whole of to-day with the case of a man; named John Whincop, charged with ap-j propriating property belonging to a man with whose wife he had absconded to| Dunedin. He was sentenced to eighteen months? imprisonment.
